Sadly, it appears that Colour Revolt has officially taken the cake on having their gear stolen. On Monday night, after playing a show in Dallas, Texas the band had their white 1994 Chevrolet G20 van and trailer stolen along with (obviously) all of their gear, merch, CDs and personal effects. For a full rundown of what was stolen along with identifying marks (Mississippi plate L890WB) you can check out this MySpace blog post.
The band is accepting donations via Paypal or snail-mail, which you can find the information for at the MySpace post. They were touring in support of their self-titled EP, released this past October.
Gear thefts while on the road is becoming an increasing problem lately; from the relatively unknown and obscure acts to the nationally recognized a quick search through our archives finds the Colour Revolt joining the ranks of Stray From The Past, the Lucky Stiffs, Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, Men Women and Children, An Angle, alongside legends like Dinosaur Junior, Bad Religion's Greg Hetson and Glenn Danzig. That's not even to mention the weird drama surrounding Quietdrive's experience.
