While Samiam are taking a break, its members are still active. Guitarist Sergie Loobkoff and drummer Johnny Cruz have formed a new band with bassist Brandon Patton and Texas Is The Reason vocalist Garrett Klan. Joshua Myers (late of east bay bands Mercury and Cutlass Supreme) provides keyboards on a few demo tracks. The project, titled Solea, recently recorded 7 songs in former Pavement drummer Gary Young's studio in Stockton, CA.
