The Offspring's Dexter Holland has posted a new update on progress towards their follow-up to 2003's Splinter:
We've been pretty busy working on the new record. I'm back in Maui now with Bob Rock - he lives here. We're in the studio recording a couple more songs for the record. So far we've got 10 songs done, Noodles was here but just went back home for a bit. I'm laying down vocals now. I don't want to tell you guys too much because the record is still taking shape.
The album is scheduled for a spring 2007 release. The band, along with the Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party and others, has been confirmed for Japan's Summer Sonic festival.
