According to a recent blog from Suburban Home Records head honcho Virgil Dickerson, the label will be releasing a solo effort from Josh Small. Josh's most recent project was working with Avail frontman Tim Barry on his recent solo outing, Rivanna Junction. No word on when the release is expected.
Virgil further commented about his interest in the solo project from Kid Dynamite/None More Black singer Jason Shevchuk, On Guard. Jason has been planning to release the album for free digitally, or for a $5.00 donation, and Virgil approached him about releasing CD/vinyl versions for charity as well:
I found out that he now had planned to sell his album digitally for $5.00 and give the proceeds to charity. I told him that since he was doing that maybe we could put out the CD, too, and figure out a way to give proceeds from the CD sales to the charity he wanted to involve. Again, to my surprise, he said that would be a rad idea. Although it isn't completely official, it looks as though we will be putting out the first album from On Guard and I could not be more excited.
On Guard will also be contributing an unreleased track to the upcoming Generic Insight Radio compilation.
