Power Chord Academy, the summer music program for dedicated teen musicians, has announced some special guest bands for this summer. Yellowcard, Halifax, the Rx Bandits, The Phenomenauts, Oxford Collapse, Four Letter Lie, River City Rebels, Northern State, 1997, and former Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna will all perform. The camp has also announced guest speakers from MTV, Fearless Records, Alternative Press Magazine, Side One Dummy Records, THICK Records, Go Kart Records and art-rock innovators Devo.
The week-long program introduces aspiring musicians to some of the aspects of being a professional musician with instruction and tips in digital-audio recording, song-writing, and on-stage performance.
