This week the new full length from South Amboy, New Jersey's The Ergs released their new full length Upstairs/Downstairs via Dirtnap Records While technically their sophomore full length following Dorkrockcorkrod, Upstairs/Downstairs is the latest in a prolific slate of releases which clocks in with something like 7 EPs, 2 split 7s and a handful of compilation contributions in the past six years. The band's speedy pop punk sound of course references the Ramones and Descendents, but listen a little closer and you'll catch shades of the Mats, maybe a bit of Hüsker Dü, and even more.
