Against my better judgement I'm posting this. HITS magazine is reporting that Dreamworks Records (home of Jimmy Eat World, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and some nu-metal crap) has signed AFI. Apparently the deal was closed in the East Bay on Friday to seal the deal. This has yet to be confirmed by AFI, Nitro, Dreamworks or anyone yet, so consider this a rumor. AFI's message board (coincidently?) is down at the moment. AFI has been saying for months that they would stick with Nitro for the duration of their career. They even (in the most recent issue of Alternative Press) listed their release as being on Nitro. We'll wait and see how this develops, since AFI's fan base has grown exponentially in recent years.
