Matador Records has unveiled the first song from the New Pornographers' upcoming full length Challengers. It's been confirmed that the 12 song full length, the Vancouver indie supergroup's fourth, will arrive on August 21st in the US. There's no word yet on who's picking up the Canadian release. The album kicks off with the song "My Rights Versus Yours," which is now available for download.
The folks at Pitchfork have more details, indicating that 9 tracks on the record were penned by Carl Newman with the other three credited to Destroyer's Dan Bejar. Newman, Bejar, Neko Case and Immaculate Machine's Kathryn Calder all provide vocals.
