Eugene Oregon based dance-punk / new wave duo Aerodrone has signed with Warner Music Group affiliated Cordless Recordings. The band, which consists of Gary Zon (of Metropolis Records' Dismantled) and Kevin Patrick, are set to record new material this month for digital release by the label later in the year.

Cordless Recordings is notably the first exclusively digital label run by one of the majors. It was founded by Elektra and Nonesuch founder Jac Holzman in 2005. Furthermore unlike most major-backed deals Cordless acts retain ownership of their masters and copyrights.
