Giving Chase has dropped off their Canadian tour with Ryan's Hope for medical reasons. The band posted the following statement via their website.
So, you might have noticed that a bunch of tour dates have come off our schedule for the next month. Our drummer, the one and only Carlin Brown, has some major health issues that he needs to deal with right away, so there was nothing we could do but cancel our upcoming US/Canadian tour and let our friend heal up properly.Of course we hate to cancel shows. We want thank all the bands, friends, and promoters who have been helping us out on this tour--everyone has been so unbelievably cool and understanding about this. Most notably Robbie from Hot Rod Touring, Nick & Ryan's Hope, and Mike & After the Fall…but the list goes on and on. Most of you know who you are, and we love you. We promise to be back as soon as we can!
Ryan's Hope has salvaged the tour with a bit of rescheduling and the majority of the previously announced shows will go on as planned. The band has also announced an appearance at the Shameless Hours Festival on August 18th at Stage 83 in Lemont, IL. They'll appear alongside the Lawrence Arms, Spitalfield, Holy Roman Empire and more.
Remember Punknews.org is currently celebrating the tour by holding a contest for free swag. The winners of the ticket giveaway will be drawn and contacted tonight.
