: Millencolin are set to play a series of shows in Australia in February. Tickets released on Monday through Tickettek have the pricing at over AUS$38. This is a huge amount for a band who have 1 gold record in Australia. In comparison, NOFX/Frenzal Rhomb are playing the same venues in Sydney, 3 weeks prior to these shows, and their ticket price was AUS$10 less than that of the Millencolin tickets. Adding up the sums, Millencolin are set to take home a staggering amount of money, with each show having over 2000 capacity and there being 4 shows in Sydney and Melbourne alone, plus others elsewhere. This is a ridiculous amount of money for a show such as this. Scorpion Entertainment, and whoever else decided on the pricing of such shows needs to take a look at what is happening, and hence why this message is being posted. Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Mr Bungle, Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, and numerous others are able to charge less for shows in Sydney, Millencolin themselves played here a year ago and only charged AUS$25. I don't think a AUS$13 pay rise is necessary. Show your distaste for over charging of the shows, even if you are not from Australia, we all need to make sure ticket pricing is fair for everyone.
