"Lethal Injection eZine is taking a temporary break. Details are below."
AZNR has been a constant supporter of this site. Our staff sends good vibes his way. Oh yeah, read the statement below, goofs.
Iâm sure some of you are wondering what the hellâs the holdup over at Lethal Injection eZine. Letâs just say that the past few months have seen everything that could possibly go wrong do just that. Originally, these problems looked like theyâd present temporary delays, but as we continued to shift the release date back, more things seemed to come up. Personally, Iâm at the most chaotic point Iâve ever been in my life, and I can attest that Josh is swamped as well. If I tried to fill you in on everything thatâs transpired, you probably wouldnât believe me - life is definitely stranger than fiction.
So, as much as I hate to say it, it looks like weâre gonna go the way of At the Drive-In and pull a "temporary hiatus." But, we really mean it that way. This has been an amazing experience for us, and we are very intent on trying again at a time when the craziness of our lives wonât inhibit the quality of our work. Maybe it will be a new incarnation of Lethal Injection, but we do expect to be back - hopefully within a few months.
For the time being, Iâd like to do my best tear-jerking Academy Award speech and say a few general thanks. To the labels and publicists who helped us get started, hooked us up with more than weâd ever imagined, and exposed us to countless amazing bands, many thanks. To the hardworking punk-related websites that promoted us, advised us, stuck by our sides, and challenged us to work harder, we wish you the best of luck and weâll continue to support you. Of course, unbelievable gratitude goes out to our readers who contributed insightful material and feedback, kept us on our toes, and turned a casual hobby into an important resource. As Iâve said before, I wasnât expecting anything when we started this zine, and Iâm still really grateful that we were able to reach so many people. Iâve encountered an incredible collection of individuals and experiences just by being a part of this zine, so even though Iâm saddened to see it slip away, I know that I was rewarded with a truly unique opportunity.
Finally, I need to extend the worldâs biggest thank you to my buddy Josh Stern. Without this guy, Iâd just have a bunch of rambling ideas sitting on my computer at home. This zine would simply be impossible without him, and heâs been an incredible web designer, contributor, advisor, and friend. Youâve probably seen at least one of his countless websites (especially his home at punkinterviews.com), but in the middle of his busy schedule heâd always give his all to Lethal. Anyone who remotely enjoyed our zine owes Josh an enormous debt of gratitude.
Alright, Iâm long-winded, so Iâll wrap up. Since we have a random spattering of material that would have gone into the next issue, weâve decided to include it on punkinterviews.com, so keep an eye out for that in the near future. Again, massive thanks to everyone who supported us in any way, and I hope to get back to ranting and raving for you all very soon. Any questions⦠just let us know. Take care.
