Fat has announced that they will be releasing the long-awaited b-sides/rarities compilation from the Swingin' Utters. The record is titled Hatest Grits: B-Sides and Other Bullshit and is due out October 26, 2008. It will feature out of print singles & B-sides, rare compilation tracks, previously unreleased album outtakes, and early band demos.

The band released their previous studio album, Dead Flowers, Bottles, Bluegrass, and Bones, in 2003 and a live album, Live in a Dive, in 2004. Members of the band also perform with Filthy Thieving Bastards who have released several albums since forming in 2000. Bassist Spike Slawson has also kept busy performing with Me First and The Gimme Gimmes. Jonny Bonnel's Druglords of the Avenues recently signed with Red Scare.
