The Onion AV Club has posted its list of best/worst band names of 2008. As expected, a number of punk, metal and emo acts make the list including Blessed By A Broken Heart, I Set My Friends on Fire, Coup De Ska, Jesus Causes Cancer, Steve E. Nix And The Cute Lepers, Religious Vomit, Five Finger Death Punch, Kathleen Turner Overdrive and Andrew Jackson Jihad.
Finally, Rolling Stone has posted the 100 top singles of 2008. As you might expect from a singles list, it leans towards the more mainstream side of things with acts like Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Coldplay, but some less mainstream acts like TV On The Radio, My Morning Jacket, Vampire Weekend, The Black Keys, Weezer, Kaiser Chiefs, The Academy Is…, The Hold Steady and Gaslight Anthem make the cut.
