Mark Holmes writes "there is a rumor going around that the new Rancid album (that's coming out on the 5-5-2000) is going to contain almost no traces of ska. And is set to be more like the first 2 albums than Life Won't Wait. This could well be true as Brett Gurewitz is producing this album, and he produced the first 2 as well. Also the songs on Give em the boot 2 have no ska elements, even though 3 of them are alongside rasta men. " Another confirmation of the rumour we posted awhile back Update: I've recieved some nasty e-mail in support of ska. Let me just say this. Ska is great for some bands. (The Slackers, the Kingpins, LTJ and others are great) But Rancid's best stuff, in my humble opinion, were the first two records. Obviously, some people disagree. As for the one guy who told me news pages are supposed to be unbiased…. go watch CNN covering a war, see how pro-American they are? Humans are inherently biased, and most attempts at faux-neutrality come off half-assed.
