"Radical Records will be releasing an international Ramones tribute CD on May 28th, 2002 featuring bands from Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Peru, Hungary and the U.S.A. The CD will be called RAMONES FOREVER, and a portion of the proceeds from this record will benefit the Joey Ramone Fund. Radical is located a stone's throw from CBGB's on Bleecker Street, and felt it to be their duty to do a tribute to the band who invented Punk Rock, and influenced half the band's on their label. RAMONES FOREVER mixes a 21st century of styles from Lo-Fi Electro, to Punk, Ska, Lounge, Techno, to all-out weirdness. Just like The Ramones took the sweetness of the Beach Boys and ravaged them with power chords, these interpretations tear apart Ramones songs and breathe new life into them. Go here to get some mp3 from this cd, it sounds pretty cool be sure to check some of these mp3 out, the techno version of "I Wanna Be Sedated" and "Beat On The Brat" done in Peruvian(or whatever they speak) rule."
