Richmond, VA's melodic-hardcore darlings Landmines have announced some upcoming recording plans. Next month, the band will head to to Chicago to record a new EP with acclaimed producer Matt Allison (Rise Against/Alkaline Trio/Lawrence Arms/Smoke or Fire) at Atlas Studios. Last year the band released their self-titled debut on Paper & Plastick. The new EP, like every other release on the label, will be available only in digital download and vinyl formats.

The band recently reached out on Punknews in search of a new drummer. They are still working on finalizing a permanent replacement, but have acquired a special guest drummer to join them in studio. The only information they're wishing to disclose is that this mystery guest has a "lot of soul".
