Cheap Girls sent us some updates from the road. The band was just out with Buffalo's the Failures Union and are about to roll out with Chillerton. The band released Find Me a Drink Home on Quote Unquote Records in 2008 and will see it remastered in 2009 and released via Paper and Plastick. They'll also be spending this summer on Warped Tour. Read More for today's installment - expect at least one more. At least.

Ben took the day off from driving yesterday and I got a few hours in. Ben usually drives about 75% of the time for various reasons. I usually drive the others and Adam is entertainment and iPod. Also, we've got two extra drivers in the Failures' Union so the long drives should be a breeze.
Played at the Cave 9 in Birmingham with P.S. Elliot. Adam and I's friends Britty and Jill from Michigan were in town so they came to say hellos. We stayed with P.S. Elliot and them and had some drinks and talked. Everyone in Birmingham was very nice.
Today, Tony's first words to me were, "I found a pill in my shoe." We said our goodbyes to our friends, old and new, and headed to the nearest Waffle House. With both Cheap Girls and Failures' Union being from northern states, we don't have the luxury of Waffle Houses so it has to happen at least once per trip. Eric tried to play "Raisins In My Toast" on the jukebox to no avail.
We're riding in the van Atlanta, GA right now, Jason driving, unbelievably windy. We just stopped for beverages and picked up some fireworks for Gainesville on Thursday.

The show in Atlanta went very well. By far my favorite set of the tour. The new songs are mixing well with the old ones at this point and the sets seem to be going a little more fluently. Prior to this tour, we hadn't really been playing the songs from FMADH very much at all because we were finishing up the songs for our new record that we started recording a few days before we left. There are still a couple that we're not even attempting to play live on this particular tour.
Anyway, Stephen from One Percent Press came out and kept us company. He put out the last couple of Failures' Union records and we met him back in October at the Fest. Stephen also made us a 5-star breakfast completed with smoothies, eggs, tofu scramble, et cetera. His girlfriend Laura cut the vegetables extremely well and we were very grateful for their hospitality.
Tony continues to amaze with fantastic quotes about his years past; our favorite being, "I didn't really do anything in the 90s."
No matter what they say, Failures' Union have been playing great sets every night and it's an absolute honor to be on tour and ride with them. Great company.
We're off to Valdosta now to meet up with Ninja Gun at the Trailer of Tears and then play at the Shed. Tomorrow begins our Florida frenzy.
Yours,
