The Static Age have announced plans to release a new record this Fall. They noted:

For the past couple months I've been tinkering with the final versions of what will become our next record -- "i/o" -- due out Sept 2009. I've cut some songs, added some songs, roughed some audio up, lost a couple guitar/vocal tracks (backup backup backup), and am now just in the protracted "wrapping up vocals" stage. It's going to be The Static Age's roughest/cleanest and most/least electronic release to date. You'll see what I mean.
