Japan's Fact have been involved in a van accident yesterday afternoon and have been forced to cancel the remaining US and Canadian dates on their tour. The band had played a show in Montgomery the night before and was headed to their next gig in Altoona when another vehicle crossed the median on Interstate 85 just outside of Atlanta, striking the band's van and causing the two vehicles to collide. The van flipped over on its side.
Everyone survived, butsinger Hiro sustained a concussion 0and drummer Eiji remains hospitalized with a broken arm. Tour manager John Kim was originally thought to have suffered internal injuries but turned out to be OK and was released from the hospital. The other band members suffered minor injuries.
The band was touring in support of their Vagrant debut, titled FACT and released on April 14, 2009.
