The first batch of performers has been announced for this year's S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival. The St. Catharines Event for New Music Entertainment will again bring a number of punk and hardcore bands to the Niagara region of southern Ontario this summer. Among the 160 bands performing at venues throughout downtown St. Catharines will be Every Time I Die, Cancer Bats, the Flatliners, Down With Webster and Midway State. Further confirmations are expected as the event approaches, with tickets going on sale May 9th.

Event organizers are again planning a free compilation for the event. A collection of songs from more than 40 artists will be given away to the first 2500 people through the doors at the the event's Market Square headquarters on the day of the festival.
