Fyre fest is now for sale
We kid you not. Two hours ago, about a day after Billy McFarland announced that he had sold two Fyre fest related trademarks, now the whole shebang is up for sale. You, yes YOU, can own Fyre fest. The "brand" is talking to interested buyers who may want to purchase the whole operation. You can see McFarland's sales pitch below.
Fyre Fest 2 “postponed,” some IP sold for a streaming service
Here's a shocker. Billy McFarland has "postponed" Fyre Fest 2. The event had been plagued with problems- no acts were booked, the local government stated that no permits were issued despite Mcfarland saying that he had obtained permits, and basic issues such as stage/event production had not even been started. Despite that, McFarland was selling tickets, the starting price which was in the $3,000 range and some of which cost over one million dollars US.
Well, Fyre Fest 2 has been "postponed" but not canceled… yet. People that did buy tickets have been refunded. There have been no details released as to the rescheduled event.
In the meantime, McFarland has sold some of the intellectual property associated with Fyre fest to Shawn Rech, who co-founded a streaming service called TruBlue with former To Catch A Predator host Chris Hansen and also started American Gospel TV. Essentially, McFarland has sold the rights to a few Fyre trademarks, which Rech will use to make a music video streaming service. Rech says, "Music networks are all just programming now, and I have no interest in watching people slip on bananas. It has nothing to do with music. I needed a big name that people would remember, even if it’s attached to infamy, so that’s why I bought these [trademarks] to start the streaming network… This isn’t about festivals or hype — it’s about putting the power of music discovery back in the hands of the fans. We’re building something authentic and lasting." As per the new Fyre streaming website: "FYRE Music Streaming is both a subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) app and a Free Ad-Supported Television Network (FAST)… The app works similar to well-known subscription services like Netflix. This is a start-up that secured the rights to use the FYRE brand for streaming, FAST and broadcast.”
The Garden announce lineup for annual fest with Ceremony, L7, Fear, HKFY
The Garden have announced the 2025 lineup for their annual "One Strange Night in Orange County" festival. This year's edition is July 19 at the OC Observatory. The bands playing are The Garden, Snow Stripper, Ceremony, L7, Fear, and Hong Kong Fuck You. You can see the flyer below.

Peach Pact to release debut album, share “A.ajax” video
North Bay, Ontario-based Peach Pact have announced that they will be releasing their debut album. It is called Die Hydrated and will be out on June 13. The band has also released a video for their new song “A.ajax” which was directed by the band and animated by Adrian Venti. Check out the video and tracklist below.

Basic Bitches have released a video for their song “There’s No Crying in Baseball”. The video was directed by Alex Spott and was filmed on location at Memory Lanes in Port Jervis, New York. Jools have released a new song. It is called “Live Deliciously” and is off their upcoming debut album Violent Delights which will be out on June 6 via Hassle Records. Jools have been releasing singles since they formed in 2019. Check out the song below.

Today we are super excited to bring you the premiere of the new video by Montreal-based punk rockers Taxi Girls! The video is for their song “The Lion’s Share” which is the B-side on their recently released Rainy 7-inch. The video was directed by Loïcia Samson and styled by Hanna Silver King. Speaking to Punknews about the video director Loïcia said,
“‘The Lion’s Share’ video was inspired by a vintage punk aesthetic, reimagined with modern visuals and strong rhythm to match the song’s energy. I wanted natural shots of the band to capture their raw vibe, moving through neon-lit spaces like they owned them.
I wanted to use some mixed media, and expressive fashion, to add a fun fresh vision. Hanna Silver King’s retro rock styling was perfect for that. We created something bold, playful, and full of attitude. The scene where they eat tapes and CDs adds that fun, messy punk touch I love.”

The Dreaded Laramie to tour North America
The Dreaded Laramie have announced North American tour dates for this summer. The trek kicks off on June 16 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and wraps up on June 29 in Ferndale, Michigan with their performance at Pug Fest. Megan From Work will be joining them from June 19-22. The band will be announcing more tour dates soon. The Dreaded Laramie released their album Princess Feedback in 2024. Check out the dates below.

Accoridng to J. Robbins, Jawbox is over
J. Robbins of Jawbox recently did an interview with webzine band name bureau. According to that interview, Robbins confirmed that the current iteration of Jawbox is now disbanded. He did not offer more details as to that matter aside from the fact that confirming the band is over. You can read the interview here.
