Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys is feeling "healthy, strong and hopeful" that he has beaten cancer. He sent an update to the Beastie Boys' official mailing list after returning from a visit to Tibetan doctors in Dharamsala, India:

II'm taking Tibetan medicine and at the recommendation of the Tibetan doctors I've been eating a vegan/organic diet, surprisingly enough that was harder to do in India than it is now that I'm back home. I'm feeling healthy, strong and hopeful that I've beaten this thing, but of course time will tell.

The hip hop trio's next album, The record is titled Hot Sauce Commitee is now expected in early 2010.
