Dan Yemin of Paint It Black posted an update on the birth of his new daughter and the immediate future of the band:

What's up punks? Sorry for the extended radio silence on our end. My wife and I had a baby girl a few weeks ago, which is really exciting, and more than a little overwhelming. Paint It Black will be taking a little break while I figure out fatherhood and spend some concentrated time at home with my family. In the meantime I'm going to start posting a regular blog about music and parenting. Check it out and let us know what you think. And have no fear, we are still writing new songs and figuring out what we can pull off in 2010.

Paint It Black's last full length was 2008's New Lexicon. Since then they've released two 7"s Amnesia and Surrender.
