Rise Records has continued their out-of-the-box signing spree by adding the UK's SHARKS to their roster. The band has garnered comparisons to acts like the Clash, the Gaslight Anthem and the Replacements--arguably a bit of a departure for the (formerly?) metalcore-centric label.
To that end, SHARKS have also launched their own label, Velvet Scene, which will co-release a 14-song compilation with Rise titled The Joys of Living 2008-2010. Due out April 5, 2011, the album will compile their recent Show of Hands EP, its preceding Common Grounds single, 2009's Shallow Waters EP and two new songs.
