Hello everyone and welcome to Navel Gazing: your look back in the week in Punknews. I'm Bryne Yancey and I'll be your guide through some of the juiciest, most popular and otherwise noteworthy stories from the last seven days. Remember, every Punknews story is built from tips from our wonderful, good-looking readers, so get to submitting. Here's what got the strange, slow and old community talking this week:
- The Paramore PR damage control continued this week, with the the remaining members of the group planning a response to allegations made by the exiting Farro brothers, and then carrying out said response the next day via MTV.
- A fascinating article from Alternative Press shined a light on band merchandise price matching. I think we should all vow to never spend forty dollars on a t-shirt regardless of who's selling it, but that's just me.
- The Horrorpops' Patricia Day sued Mattel over a Barbie doll that bears a striking resemblance to her.
- In a new interview, John Lydon hinted at a possible Sex Pistols reunion. I hear the tour will be sponsored by Country Life Butter.
- Slapstick was confirmed for the Asian Man 15th Anniversary show.
- Violence and chaos ensued outside a TSOL / Youth Brigade gig in LA.
With that, we hand over this Sunday evening to the Punknews community, where anything is possible, from the next amusing-then-overwrought meme, to the creation of bands and message boards, to alienating sports chatter. So talk amongst yourselves and we'll see you Monday morning.
