Nominations for the Prairie Music Awards, part of the Prairie Music Week in Winnipeg Manitoba, have been announced. Punk-related nominees include a competition between the G7 Welcoming Committee and Smallman Records for "Independent Record Company/Distributor of the Year." The G7's own Greg MacPherson Band has also won the nomination for "Outstanding Rock Recording" and "Outstanding Album, Independent Artist."
