Samiam has posted a brief update on their plans for the remainder of 2011. The band is planning a show in New York City for March 11th, an appearance at Krazy Fest and then The Fest 10.

More notable than the live appearances is that the band is also planning a new album which they will record after the NYC show. It would be the first new studio album from the band since 2006's Whatever's Got You Down which itself was preceded by a six year gap after 2000's Astray.

Last year, they released a rarities compilation titled Orphan Works.
