• The US House of Representatives voted to defund NPR, clearing money to purchase at least one, perhaps two new F-18 fighter jets.
• MTV announced plans to resurrect its seminal alternative music program, 120 Minutes
• Sublime (with Rome) signed to Fueled by Ramen
• Green Day and Hüsker Dü will be releasing a split on Record Store Day
• In unfortunate news, Casey Royer (D.I, Adolescents, Social Distortion) overdosed on heroin in front of his 12 year old son.
