Occasional The Dopamines guitarist Mikey Erg has finally come clean on his involvement with the band, offering a statement full of revelatory information. Here's what Mr. Erg had to say:
"Here's a nugget for ya: I'm only in the Dopamines for the money. A hired gun, as it were. When copies of Expect The Worst began collecting dust at the Paper and Plastick warehouse, the label called me up and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Vinnie has Less Than Jake levels of cash, and he signed Fall Out Boy, so I knew I could trust him.
As for the guys in the band, I like them all right but we all know why I'm here. They're riding my pop-punk coattails, because we all know the fake last name Erg is royalty in this scene. I still can't believe those slackasses at Punknews.org haven't posted a review of the album, even after I joined the band."
We'll keep you updated as this story unfolds. EDIT: APRIL FOOLS!
