Q: If people debate about who started punk and the Ramones had their song "Judy Is A Punk" in 1974 and there's CBGB video evidence like there is on YouTube and they play so much faster than the Sex Pistols why isn't the argument ended? A: Blah blah everyone's definition of punk is different. THIS IS OKAY. One could perhaps go back even farther, to bands like MC5, Stooges, etc. but what would the point be? The answer doesn't have to be so goddamn definitive.-Bryne
