"Red Line Distribution is a collective of independent punk, hardcore, and indie labels from Chicago, IL. We're celebrating our first full year together this month, and have added two more labels to our ranks: Jettison Music and Jet Black Records. Today we launched our new and improved web site which now includes an MP3 library, interviews with Chicago bands and record labels, and an exhaustive listing of Chicago shows.

The reason we started Red Line in the first place was to work together with other small record labels and promote the Chicago music scene, while throwing away competition in favor of cooperation. Our first year was exciting and productive, resulting in 31 records being released (yes, I said 31!!!), in addition to 2 free sampler CDs. We have also helped out tons of local bands with CD manufacturing and provided on-line ordering for lots of Chicago bands that otherwise would have a hard time making their records available. We're looking to do a lot more in this new year, so please check out our site and see what we're up to. (we've got free CDs on there by the way). Thanks!"
