Many, many of you wrote in with the odd news that 39-year old Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was asked to leave a Southwest flight due to his low hanging pants. He said via twitter:

Just got kicked off a Southwest flight because my pants sagged too low!

Billie Joe joins the ranks of people like film director Kevin Smith who was removed from a Southwest flight due to his size or this lady who claims she was removed for being too hot.

The airline has apologized, saying:

As soon as we became aware of what happened, we apologized for this customer's experience. He elected to take the next flight. We followed up with this customer and involved employees to get more details and, in our latest conversations, understand from the customer the situation was resolved to his satisfaction.
