Billboard has posted an article on the upcoming Transplants record. In it they interview drummer Travis Barker about the band and he reveals some information on various Rancid, Blink 182 and future Transplants releases. The article states that Rancid is currently recording their previously reported yet-untitled album due in spring 2003.
About Blink 182's plans: "In the last few months, the Transplants finished their album, Blink finished its tour, Box Car started preparing for a tour, and I got divorced… It's crazy. I've been freaking out, and to top it off, Blink is going into the studio in January."
Barker also reveals that Tim Armstrong and Rob Aston had written between 30 and 40 songs before he was brought on-board. In reference to any future Transplants projects Barker adds "I'm working on a bunch of beats, like 60 or 70 beats, that I can put on my hard drive and send to Tim, so he can write a new Transplants album when he has time."
