Volcom Entertainment has announced the signing of Torche. The band entered the studio to begin production on their forthcoming as-of-yet-titled LP today. The band will be self-producing the album in hometown studio, Pinecrust, and delivering the finished recordings to Kurt Ballou of Converge for mixing. Look for the new album to be released on Volcom Entertainment in the spring or early summer of next year.

Next month, the band will release a limited-edition split 12-inch with Part Chimp that will be available at the bands' recently-announced tour stops and online. Their side of the split features three Guided By Voices covers. They released Songs for Singles in 2010.
