Victory Records has announced the signing of El Paso's The Royalty. The band is a pretty big departure for the label, with a sound more influenced by The Talking Heads, Ramones, Phil Spector, Ronettes, Supremes, Vampire Weekend, Best Coast and Surfer Blood than the hard rock and metal for which Victory is best known. The band is promising their debut for the label in 2012 and previously self-released their self-titled debut.
