Punk The Halls! Vol. 1, a DIY benefit compilation to support Starlight Children's Foundation, was announced yesterday via the comp's facebook page. The album is due to premier on Needle Drop Radio on December 21st, and will be available for download through an as yet unspecified Bandcamp page in exchange for donation to the foundation.
They've posted a tentative list of bands appearing on the comp, and are still taking submissions from bands with holiday music that want to get involved.
The "tentative" list features Still Automatic, Lipstick Homicide, White Kaps, Hopewrecker, MxPx, Dragstrip Riot, The Respirators, Colin Farrell, The Hairlips, Prevenge, Crookedhook, Todd Congelliere, Jetty Boys, Direct Hit!, Gatsby's American Dream, The Haddonfields, and the Angry Snowmans.
Starlight Children's Foundation describe their work as follows:
"For nearly 30 years, Starlight Children's Foundation has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for children around the globe with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and life-altering injuries by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness."
