The Offspring have announced a title and approximate release for their upcoming ninth studio album. The record is titled Days Go By and is due out in "early summer" via Sony. The record follows 2008's Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace and marks the recorded debut of drummer Pete Parada (formerly of Face to Face, Saves The Day.) The band will premiere the first single from the album on KROQ's Kevin & Bean Show this coming Friday.
In a recent interview, guitarist Noodles said the album features some of the band's "most rocking" material in a long time, and that it reminds him of the music they played "20 years ago." Of course, the Offspring released Ignition 20 years ago and it remains one of their best loved releases.
