After releasing nothing but singles for a number of years, Young Governor, will be hitting the studio to record a proper full length. The band is a power-pop/pop-punk project from Ben Cook of Fucked Up and will be recording a new 12-inch for Oakland, CA's Southpaw Records. Cook will be recording with producer Steve Chahley and is aiming to record a "high fidelity pop record with heavy influences from Guided By Voices, Tom Petty, and The Replacements. " The record is due out July 31, 2012.
