As part of the Get Out The Vote rally in Wisconsin, Tim McIlrath of Rise Against performed an acoustic cover of the the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song, "Ohio." Neil Young originally wrote the song in response to the horrific Kent State shootings of 1970 which saw deaths of four unarmed students at the hands of Ohio National Guard. The students had been protesting the Vietnam War and the event was so shocking as to help galvanize national opinion against the already contentious war.
Anyway, Tim performed the song as part of the event which aimed to mobilize progressive voters against controversial Republican Governor Scott Walker. Walker is the subject of a recall election on June 5.
