Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, the two Pussy Riot members still in custody following Yekaterina Samutsevich's release two weeks ago, have been sent to remote prison camps, The Guardian reports. Alyokhina (24) and Tolokonnikova (22), have been sent to separate camps, the former to Perm, the latter to Mordovia.
These locations are of particular significance given that both women have young children, and their families are based in Moscow. While Mordovia is around 350 miles from Moscow by road, Perm is over 900 miles away according to Google Maps. Both women are due for release in March of 2014.
