Against Me! lead singer, Laura Jane Grace, recently let MTV into her home for their show, "House of Style". The segment focuses on Grace's every day life as a transgender individual.

My life improves every single day. I try to make a step every single day, no matter how big or how small… It feels like I'm in control of my life, and I'm in control of my person, and that's empowering. Saying to someone 'I'm a transsexual' is the most empowering thing I've ever felt in my whole life.

Laura Jane Grace came out as transgender earlier this year in an issue of Rolling Stone magazine. She has since been working on Against Me!'s new album, Transgender Dysphoria Blues .
