New York's Aficionado have announced they have broken up. You can read part of the band's statement below and read the entire statement on their facebook page. The band has yet to announce plans for a final show but mentions that one will eventually take place in the coming months at Albany, NY.

It saddens me deeply to announce that after almost 9 years of playing together, Aficionado has officially broken up. Since I was a kid, all I ever wanted to do was live the "band life"…revolve everything around music, do nothing but create, record, and then get in a van, travel around and play shows with my friends. For the past couple of years that was my life and I'm really grateful for that experience.
