Epitaph is reporting that Rancid is currently working on their new record. Once again, Brett Gurewitz will be producing the album (he did their previous release). Nick Raskulinecz will engineer. No word on the studio or any more info yet, but Mr. Brett is quoted with saying "I'm am totally blown away by this album." Look for a June 2003 release.
Meanwhile, The Transplants have filmed videos for the songs "DJ DJ" and "Diamonds and Guns." Both videos were done consecutively and by the same production company. Epitaph reports that they "featured everything from low-riders to a stage set-up in the middle of a pool" and will be "based upon live performance by the band, but each one also had their own individual theme attached to it." Tiger Army's Nick 13 and Freddie Hell were on hand for the shoots, expect them to be Hellcat family affairs.
