us that this article in Billboard is reporting that a 3-CD set from early British punk band Generation X is due on April 8 from Chrysalis Records. The band is best known as the launching point for the career of front man Billy Idol and is often overshadowed by other bands from that `77 era. The first CD in the set will contain the band's singles and b-sides. The second will feature an album titled "Sweet Revenge" that the band never formally released as well as an interview with bassist Tony James. The third disc will feature unreleased live recordings from a 1978 show in Osaka, Japan.
