It's Tuesday! I'm sure that means something to someone here. It definitely means that we've posted a couple new reviews, too.
First, Renaldo Matadeen takes a look at the new release from Sparrows, Cold Ground :
"Sights and Sounds" tries to cut this deficit with its instrumental bridge and succeeds. It serves as a great segue into the latter half of the record, where there's more fluidity. The touches of screamo and hard rock are better combined on songs like "Sleepwalkers" and "White Flag."
Second, Rich Cocksedge time travels back to 2012 to see what The Saints of Sorrow were up on their 2012 EP:
The four songs on this EP, which came out right at the tail end of 2012, are full of melodic punk rock with sing-along moments that I would imagine are real fist-pumpers if you get to see the band in a live setting.
Don't forget, you can read any of our reviews right here.
