I'm really pumped for tonight's Jesse Michaels live chat. I'm also pumped for new reviews!
First, Rich Cocksedge talks about the new LP from Jimmy Islip and the Ghosts, The Wild West Riding:
The tracks on The Wild West Riding have a massive country and western influence running through them, and whereas a number of UK artists going down the acoustic and/or solo route keep things less focused towards this style of music, Islip immerses himself wholeheartedly in producing a sound that is undeniably based around that.

Then, Renaldo Matadeen reviews the recent full-length from Michigan's Pity Sex, Feast of Love:
The distorted guitars that are strewn over the majority of the record emanate a la Silversun Pickups and when the alternating vocals on "Drown Me Out" pitch in, you can't help but wonder how good this Ann Arbor quartet really are.
