Q: Do you play video games? On what platform? Any in particular you'd like to mention?

A: Actually, I just got back from a place in Philly called "Barcade." It's a bar with about 50 old school video game machines. They've got all the classics. There's Gauntlet II, Golden Axe, TRON, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man (that delightful minx!), Donkey Kong, Smash TV, Rampage, Robotron, Double Dragon (arcade version is WAAAAAAY better than NES) Final Fight, and a whole bunch more.

I don't really play video games these days aside from the occasional flash game to kill 10 minutes or to break up monotony.

However, tonight I played this game called "Tapper." It is one of the best games ever. You are a bartender that has to run from bar to bar and slide beers to customers. It was designed in part by Budweiser (which is hilarious) and a beer tap is actually one of the two joysticks.

Really, the simple games do make the best ones. Also, my 14 year old self would go berserk at this next statement, but maybe the non-violent games are better than the violent ones. -John G
