Rolling Stone is reporting that two Ramones documentaries are will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival this May. The films include " End of the Century: The Ramones Story" and "Hey! Is Dee Dee Home?" about the late Ramones bassist. "End Of The Century: The Ramones Story" features interviews with members of the Clash, Blondie, the Sex Pistols and surviving Ramones members, chronicling the band's formation, story and influence during a period from 1968 up until the group's Rock & Roll Hall of fame induction in 2002 and the death of Dee Dee. The film was co-directed by first-time filmmakers Michael Gramaglia and Jim Fields. Johnny Ramone was quoted with saying, "It's a very dark movie… It's accurate. It left me disturbed as I was watching it. I'm basically portrayed as a tyrannical monster, Dee Dee is on drugs, Mark is an alcoholic and Joey is an alcoholic and drug addict at various times." "Hey! Is Dee Dee Home?" features interviews with the bassist about his relationships with the Ramones, his drug addiction and late New York Dolls guitarist Johnny Thunders. The movie was directed by Lech Kowalski, who had interviewed Dee Dee for a documentary on Johnny Thunders titled "Born to Lose: The Last Rock and Roll Movie."
