Punknews is thrilled to stream the re-issue of Plow United's self-titled debut record, out today on It's Alive Records. The album was re-mastered by Stephen Egerton (yes that Stephen Egerton) and boy can you tell! The album cracks!
The debut shows everything that's great about being a young, scrappy, punk rocker. The band tears through a dozen tracks of revved up pop-punk with the occasional submersion into the nastier stuff. Brian McGee sings from the gut, his voice fracturing as he gets louder and louder. Bassist Joel Tannenbaum and drummer Sean Rule flip from clenched-fist emoting to frenzied thrashing. There are songs about being dumped by a girl, but there is also a song about getting made fun of while your coffin is lowered into the ground. (Your move, Nick Blinko!) A straight up summer punk rock banger.
